Here at iGO4 we have an exciting vacancy for a financial planning analyst.   As an analyst within our finance team, you will ensure that iGO4 are able to make sound financial decisions.  This role reports to the Head of Financial Analysis and Planning and will have direct contact with the senior management and Executive team across the business as they will use information and analysis provided by you to support commercial and strategic decision making and project the future plans for the business.  

iGO4 is an entrepreneurial technology driven company that sells car insurance to over 200,000 retail customers a year. Founded in 2007, the company manages several own brands as well as partnering with other large household names to deliver their insurance products.   We are one of the leading UK providers of telematics (black box) insurance policies through our Wisedriving brand as well as offering standard car insurance policies.

Our products are primarily sold online utilising all of the major price comparison sites as well as having our own direct branded websites. iGO4 are a data driven company and we use market leading tools to drive our ambitious growth agenda.  

This key role has the following responsibilities:

• Ownership, development and maintenance of Anaplan models to ensure that robust plans and forecasts are in place

• Liaison with data team to understand data availability and assess best methods of using this for planning and reporting

• Support the preparation and finalisation of rolling and long-term forecasts plus annual budgets

• Provision of financial analysis as required to assist with commercial decisions

• Development of reporting / analysis as requested by business heads

• Assist the wider finance team with month end procedures and management accounts providing and analysing commercial information to support the months result

• Analysis of data to highlight key trends allow the business to make product based decisions.  


What skills and attributes do you need?

• A clear understanding of finance and accounting either through studies or employment experience  

• Familiarity with business planning software (Anaplan / SAP / Hyperion Planning / Microsoft Power BI or similar) – experience of Anaplan an advantage although initial basic training will be provided, and this will be followed up by online courses to develop expert knowledge

• Experience of working with and interpreting both transactional data and summary financials

• Strong excel skills

• Ability to present financial analysis to business teams in a clear and concise manner

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Adaptability with a willingness to ‘muck in’ as required

• Attention to deadlines
